1st Attempts Fail

After changing the design, the wheels wouldn't turn when we attached the balloon and tried to make it go. Tomorrow during school, we will try a new and better design and test those.

2nd Design Materials

New materials that we used:
  • Foam to hold the wheels in place, instead of erasers which were heavy and weren't affective.
  • Scewers and Straws for the axles
  • Egg carton for main body of car
  • Cling wrap to make it more aero-dynamic
  • CD's for wheels

Experimenting

After we made the first design, we tested the balloon car. When we tried using a straw with the balloon, it didn't move anywhere. Then, we tried taping the balloon to the car, but one end on the car was heavier than the other, so it flipped over. To fix this, we turned the car around, and taped the balloon on more, but the car turned because the wheels wobbled and were not centered.
